since I was just five years old when I traveled to Japan for an extended stay. I was immediately enamored with the culture and made great efforts to pick up as much of the language as I could.
I went on to live, study and work in France, Senegal, and the Dominican Republic. I eventually majored in French and African Languages and Literature at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and attended the Translation and Interpretation program at Monterey Institute of International Studies where I was the recipient of a merit-based scholarship.
I have been working as a professional translator since 2007. I have held numerous positions as an in-house translator for translation agencies and other companies requiring language services. This experience ultimately enabled me to take the leap and launch my career as a freelance translator.
I love being a translator and I’m very aware that in order to continue doing what I love, customer satisfaction is paramount, which is why I strive to offer my clients high-quality, personalized service with an emphasis on effective and open communication.
